Equidistant between the boroughs of Camberwell and Peckham, Southwark Register Office is easily accessed via Denmark Hill and Peckham Rye stations. The Grade II listed Victorian building features an original wrought iron arch and lamp, beneath which the bride and groom can be pictured, showered in confetti as they exit as a married couple. Southwark Register Office itself is tucked away by an attractive shroud of trees in a cobbled forecourt, and at the back, there is a small garden for additional wedding photographs after the ceremony.

Southwark Register Office was originally a house in the 1970s, and so over time it has established a homely atmosphere. The simple wooden floors and panelling gives it a warm traditional feel. You can opt for a midweek ceremony with no frills, or an enhanced ceremony with readings and music. The Garden Room is a special intimate space to host your nuptials for up to fifty family and friends, overlooking the secluded lawns through the large bay windows. St Lucas Park is another green space, just a short minute walk away from Southwark Register Office. Find our recommended collection of other ceremony and reception venues in Southwark below.
